About Kheha

Family law that feels like a conversation, not a process

We are a small, careful practice — the kind where the person who answers the phone is also the person who handles your matter.

Our Story

Where Kheha began

Kheha was established in Bangkok by practitioners who had spent years inside larger firms and grew frustrated with how family matters were handled there — quickly, impersonally, with clients left uncertain about what was happening or why. The word kheha (เคหา) refers in Thai to a home, a dwelling, a place of belonging. That felt like the right name for a practice focused on the people and relationships that make up family life.

We opened our Rama IV Road office with a straightforward intention: to offer thoughtful family legal services to anyone who needed them — Thai nationals, expatriates, and international couples alike — without the cold efficiency that so many legal firms default to when things get hard.

Today, we continue to work in the same way. A small team. A single focus. And enough care for the process that each client's experience feels considered rather than routine.

Our Mission

What guides our practice

Listen before advising

We take time to understand what has happened before we say anything about what to do. Every family situation is different.

Plain language throughout

Legal language exists for precision, not exclusion. We translate it into words that make sense to you, and we check that you understand before moving on.

Fairness as a default

Where there is room for a fair outcome that serves everyone's long-term interests, we point toward it. Family law does not always have to be adversarial.

Light footprint

We believe in doing what is needed to resolve a matter well, without generating unnecessary paperwork, cost, or anxiety along the way.

Standards & Protocols

How we hold ourselves to account

Thai Bar Council Registration

All practising members of the team are registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and observe its professional conduct rules.

Confidentiality Protocol

Client information is held under strict professional privilege. We do not discuss cases externally or share data without written consent.

Clear Engagement Letters

Before any paid work begins, you receive a written engagement letter setting out scope, fees, and timelines in plain terms. No verbal agreements that leave things open.

Regular Case Updates

We update clients whenever something changes — not once a fortnight by default. You should never need to chase us to find out where things stand.

Secure Document Handling

Documents are stored and transmitted through encrypted channels. Physical files are kept in locked storage and destroyed securely when retention periods end.

Complaints Process

If you are ever unhappy with our work, we have a written complaints procedure. We take any concern seriously and respond in writing within five business days.

Our Values in Practice

What working with Kheha looks like day to day

Family legal matters in Thailand are governed principally by the Civil and Commercial Code, which addresses marriage, divorce, parental authority, and property in considerable detail. That legal framework, while well developed, is not always easy to navigate without guidance — particularly for those unfamiliar with the Thai court system or those dealing with cross-border family situations.

At Kheha, we work to make that navigation as clear and low-stress as possible. Our practitioners read Thai law daily, keep pace with developments in family court practice in Bangkok, and apply that knowledge in straightforward conversations with the people who need it. We do not assume knowledge on your part or rush through explanations because they take time.

Bangkok is a city where many families have mixed backgrounds — Thai and foreign spouses, children with dual nationality, properties held across jurisdictions. These situations add layers to an already complex area of law. We have experience working with international clients and are comfortable managing matters that involve legal questions in more than one country, in coordination with overseas legal counsel where needed.

We are not a large firm, and we do not aim to become one. We believe that the quality of family legal support is directly related to the attention each matter receives, and that attention is harder to give at scale. Our Rama IV Road office serves clients from across Bangkok and the surrounding region, with video consultations available for those unable to visit in person.
